Announcements : POTENTIAL SCAMS

Students,

Be aware that there are two recent scams circulating that have been brought to our attention. An employment scam via email, and a fraudulent phone call from someone claiming to be from ICE demanding money. 

Note the following: 
(1.) ALL Georgia Southern jobs for students will be listed online in the Student Employment Center -- never emailed to you! Do not click any links in these emails.
(2.) The government will NEVER call you and demand money. If there is an issue with your visa status, you will hear it from our office. Never give your SSN, account info, or anything personal over the phone.
